MMP deliver a class leading service for all Video Games Development Studios, large or small.
About Video Games Tax Relief
Video Games Tax Relief (VGTR) was introduced in 2014 to allow UK game developers to receive a tax benefit from HMRC for the development of video games in the UK. The scheme allow tax relief of 25% on qualifying expenditure, or a payable tax credit for loss-making games.
To be eligible for Video Games Tax Relief, games must pass a BFI cultural test and your company must be responsible for the majority of the planning, designing, developing and testing of the game. However, the cultural test is just one important step in making a successful claim.
MMP's VGTR service
MMP worked with TIGA, the video game trade association on research to justify the cost/benefit analysis for the VGTR scheme prior to its introduction and presented widely across the UK when the scheme was introduced. We provide an independent expert resource to Video Games Development Companies to manage the process of claiming VGTR and reducing the workload of creative companies focussed on delivering great games.
